"The cast and crew get a kick out of Jenny," a set source shared. "She's a good fit. She may not be able to carry a show, but she works well with a group ensemble."
Back in May, The View co-host Sherri Shephard gave her support to McCarthy joining the morning talkshow.
Brooke Shields is also again rumoured to be joining The View. She was previously rumoured to replace Behar back in April - however, another insider told Us Weekly that Shields could take over Elizabeth Hasselbeck's seat.
In March, Hasselbeck was speculated to be exiting the show, but co-host Barbara Walters denied her departure.
